20 W monolithic erbium fluoride fiber laser at 2.8 µm
Main Author: Yigit Ozan Aydin Organization: Centre d'optique, photonique et laser, Canada We report the demonstration of a 2825 nm splice-less erbium-doped fluoride fiber laser delivering 20 W of output power in continuous wave operation. This result represents the highest mid-IR output power obtained from a splice-less laser cavity. |

Supercontinuum and few cycle pulse generation in antiresonant hollow core fibers
Main Author: Rudrakant Sollapur Organization: Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany This report compares nonlinear processes in two different types of gas filled antiresonant hollow core fibers, where one setup is optimized for multi-octave supercontinuum generation and the other for few cycle pulse generation in the IR. |

Fluoride-based rare-earth-doped fibers for laser emission beyond 3 m
Main Author: Frédéric Maes Organization: Université Laval, Canada This talk will detail the recent developments in dual-wavelength pumped erbium-doped zirconium fluoride monolithic fiber lasers at 3.5 microns. Emission at and beyond 4 microns through the use of rare-earth-doped indium fluoride fiber glasses is also discussed. |

Twin Pulse High Harmonic Generation for XUV Fourier Transform Spectroscopy
Main Author: Vittoria Schuster Organization: Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, Institute of Applied Physics - Abbe Center of Photonics, Germany We investigate suitable parameters for efficient high harmonic generation in an argon jet by two subsequent 1030 nm, 35 fs pulses with a combined pulse energy of 0.3 mJ for future applications in XUV Fourier transform spectroscopy with special attention on time delays on the order of 100 fs. |
